Workshop in Kharkiv – monitoring mission to Erasmus+ CBHE project – MASTIS

April 12, 2016 at the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, Ukraine a meeting of project teams Ukrainian universities of the Consortium project MASTIS was held. The project MASTIS «Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems” is an international educational project funded by the European Union within the program ERASMUS +.

At meeting on April 12, 2016 attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National ERASMUS + office, students, business representatives, project coordinator MASTIS professor at the University of Lyon 2 (France) Jean-Hugues Shosha and Professor Julien Velsan. Representatives of Ukrainian universities: KHNUE, NTUU “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, NU “Lviv Polytechnic”, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kherson state University, NTU ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” participated.

During the meeting, representatives of the National ERASMUS + office monitored the project in the Ukrainian part of the consortium, found “bottlenecks” and provided recommendations for their effective work of the project team.

At the meeting was discussed the profile of Master of Information Systems, reviewed the curricula of training masters of IP at universities partner planned project activities.

Workshops for Partner Country Methodologist at LUISS Business School

From 7 to 9 June 2016 the first LUISS MASTIS project workshop was held that involved the participation of the LUISS Business School as a key role among the European partners. The workshop is part of the activities of the first work package of the project and focused on the identification of existing educational pathways and approaches adopted for training on the information systems in the different countries represented in the project. Representatives from universities and professional associations of France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, Ukraine and Montenegro, have worked for three days at viable Romania campus, alternating with moments of networking sessions and interactive sessions. The debate between the project partners focused on the requirements for the design of information systems and Master level courses were discussed topics ranging from skills to teaching methods, through the Exchange and sharing of experiences on existing practices and training needs in the various countries. The project partners compared on different orientations that characterize the paths in this field of study. In particular, the Ukrainian partners and Eastern Europe have shown a greater orientation to the topics of computer science, while European partners emphasized the multidisciplinary character of subjects typical of a managerial approach.

Workshops for Partner Country Methodologist at LUISS Business School

From 7 to 9 June 2016 a seminar on the MASTIS project took place at the LUISS Business School.

One of the key issues of the seminar is the analysis of the stakeholders requirements to the masters in Information Systems. The participants of the seminar received information from the NTUU “KPI” teams and the Kaunas University of Technology, the leaders of the first working package, on intermediateresults ofstakeholder’s  interview and IT graduates on the quality of training and their qualifications.
