Workshop for Partner Country “Innovation in education strategies and teaching practices in IS” at Kaunas University of Technology
October 3, 2016 to October 7, 2016 in the city. Kaunas (Lithuania) held a meeting of the project MASTIS – “Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems”. The main objective of this workshop is to follow up the project implementation activities in the area of innovation in education strategies and teaching practices in IS. Representatives of six Ukrainian universities (Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kherson State University, National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’) and the European partners discussed a study that was conducted by project partners to identify future competencies of masters in information systems (IS). The main problem of the workshop was discussion of WorkPackage 1. «Requements Analysis. Results and discussions». Participants in the project organized survey of over 40 companies in Ukraine on forming the profile of IS master.

October 3, 2016 – October 7, 2016. Participants of the seminar, which held in accordance with the program of the MASTIS project, worked in Scientific and Technological Park “Technopolis” (photo). STP “Technopolis” has the largest laboratory for mobile applications in the modern Baltics, the Bloomberg Financial markets Lab, the Intermedix Creative Hub, the laboratories of persistent chemistry, mechatronics, future energy and environmental technologies, information and telecommunication technologies.The participants of the MASTIS project got acquainted with the researches carried out at the Scientific and Technological Park “Technopolis”.
Workshop for Partner Country at the Lulea University of Technology(Sweden)
14th -17th February 2017 at the Lulea University of Technology LTU (Sweden) the working meeting of partners, devoted to the development of master’s program in information systems, improvement of the education quality and the new teaching techniques in teaching and learning was held. Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Economics – National Coordinator, National Polytechnic University “KPI”, Lviv National Polytechnic University, Vinnitsa National Polytechnic University, National Polytechnic University “KPI”, Kherson State University and partners from Montenegro took place within the international project ERASMUS + MASTIS “Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems”. The EU countries should share their knowledge on Information Systems, how organizations use information technology, and thus contribute to a positive development of the subject in Ukraine and Montenegro. The objective is also to create a common European curriculum for Master Programs in Information Systems.
During the previous period, lecturers of Ukrainian universities and Montenegro together with representatives of IT companies and IT departments studied the professional standards, recommendations of professional associations in forming the list of competences. Discussions and debates focused on the requirements for competency profile of Master’s training, courses that ensure to get learning outcomes and problems of current practices and necessity in IT professionals training in different countries.
