MASTIS SEMINAR AT IGOR SIKORSKY KPI

18/10/2017. Report of the implementation of MASTIS project is made by Kovaliuk T. at the methodological seminar of the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department. The competencies of masters in Information Systems are examined. The list of core disciplines is presented. The program of discipline “IS Development and Deployment” is considered in detail. The team MASTIS project work was approved by the decision of the methodological seminar of the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department.

IV INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AND INTERACTION”.

8/11/2017 Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Faculty of information Technology held an international scientific and practical conference “Information Technologies and interaction”. T. Kovaliuk made a presentation on the theme “Cognitive simulation of the interaction of professional andeducational IT standards”.  An example of a cognitive map of the competency model of Masters of Information Systems in accordance with the requirements of MSIS2016 is considered in the report. Kovaliuk T. reported about the implementation of the competency model MSIS2016 in the MASTIS project. Also the report shows the use of the European e-Competence Framework in the MASTIS project and for building cognitive map of IT professions.

WORKSHOP  AT KRISTIANSAND, NORWAY. (UNIVERSITY OF AGDER) UNDER THE MASTIS PROJECT

From 27th November to 1st December 2017 the meeting of the participants of the MASTIS project took place at University of Agder in Kristiansand (Norway). The main objective of this workshop was to follow up the project implementation activities. Participants of the meeting discussed the programs of core disciplines. The organizers of the workshop spoke about the experience of teaching and organizing the educational process at the University of Agder.

WORKSHOP AT KRISTIANSAND, NORWAY. (UNIVERSITY OF AGDER) UNDER THE MASTIS PROJECT. PRESENTATION OF THE PROGRAM OF THE COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT”

On November 28, 2017 representatives of the Igor Sikorsky KPI Team came out with report on the progress of the MASTIS project in the university. Tetiana Kovaliuk made a presentation of the program of the course “Information System Development and Deployment” (ISDAD), for the development of which responsible Igor Sikorsky KPI. The development team included in the course program such questions as: Business analysis of IS Requirements, IS Analysis, IS Development Methods, IS Design, Modern  IS Development Approach, Usage of Vendor Solutions, DevOps concepts in the IS Development Process, Quality Assurance Fundamentals, Testing process in IS, Server Infrastructure, Delivery and Deployment, Migration in IS, IS Support and Maintenance.

The discussion was held and recommendations were given on the content of the course ISDAD.

WORKSHOP AT KRISTIANSAND, NORWAY. (UNIVERSITYOFAGDER) UNDER THE MASTIS PROJECT. REPORT ON DISSEMINATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

On November 29, 2017 Tamara Tielysheva presented a report on Dissemination and Sustainability the MASTIS project in the Igor Sikorsky KPI. Tielysheva T. reported the events, information about which Tomashevskyi V. placed on Facebook and on the website of the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department, about article co-authored with Kovaliuk T., communication with the Kiev IT cluster.

DEFENCE THE DIPLOMA PROJECT ON THEME “WEB-PLATFORM FOR THE SUPPORT OF UNIVERSITY TEACHER”

On December 2017 students of master level of the professional direction defended the diploma project on the theme “Web platform for the support of university teachers.” Tielysheva Tamara, who is a member of the MASTIS project team from Igor Sikorsky KPI was head this project.

The developed platformneeded for storing and providing information resources of teachers to students. The platform based on solutions that considered at the workshops of the MASTIS project. Practical testing of the platform carried out on information resources at the courses of the MASTIS project.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI. MASTER’S COMPETENCY ANALYSIS

On November 8,  2017 the discussion of the competencies that students should form as a result of studying the course “IS Development and Deployment” in the context of piloting this course. The course was piloted during the autumn semester of the 2017-2018 academic year at the Igor Sikorsky KPI for 25 Masters students of the groups IS71MN and IS72MP. Students are shown document “MSIS 2016. Global Competency Model for Graduate Degree Programs in Information Systems” from December 5, 2016.

The lecturer Kovaliuk Tetiana  conducted a questionnaire survey of students in order to determine the conformity of the level of formation of their competencies to the requirements of the European ICT competence framework. The results of the questionnaire showed that the students of 1-st year Master’s program correspond to the level of the junior developer.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI. ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF THE MEETING OF MASTIS PROJECT PARTICIPANTS IN NORWAY

On December 5, 2017  the “Information System Development and Deployment” course content as a result of the workshop in Kristiansand (Norway) are presented to students from group IS71MN and IS72MP of Master level by lecturer Kovaliuk Tetiana.  Lecturer gave a lecture on the topic “Culture : Bases of effective co-operation of IT-team”. The material corresponded to the competencies described in the DevOpsofACM document of the MSIS 2016: “Apply key DevOps concepts to integrate between development and operations and determine when they are relevant for application in a specific domain”. There was a discussion on the issues of conducting practice in the form of a business game.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI. BUSINESS GAME SESSION

On December 12, 2017 business game for simulation process “Develop IT Infrastructure: identify needs of equipment, to buy and install”was held. Students performed such roles in a business game: business process analyst, expert in standards (lawyer), economist, system analyst, developer, tester. Students played a scenario of negotiations with equipment suppliers in accordance with the theme of the business game. This business game is aimed at understanding the management cycle, the need for coherent, effective teamwork to achieve the goals. Develops skills: goal-setting, task setting, tactical planning, motivation, communication, information analysis.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI

On March 13, 2018 piloting course “Information System Development and Deployment” for students of  group IS72MP and IS71MN of Master level continues in the second semester within the frame of the course of “Management of IS Development”. IT audit is conducted to build the concept of information system development and IS strategy is developed according to the results of IT audit. The current lecture is devoted to the issue of building an IS strategy in frame of course “Management of IS Development” according curriculum Igor Sikorsky KPI 2017-2018 academic year.

Meeting of Igor Sikorsky KPI Team with the curator of MASTIS project Zolotariova Irina in Kyiv

On February 23, 2018, the meeting of Igor Sikorsky KPI Team with the curator of MASTIS project Zolotariova Irina took place in Kyiv in the Dean’s Department of the Faculty of Informaticsand Computer Engineering.

The meeting was attended by Pavlov Olexander – the dean of the faculty, Mukha Irina – acting head of Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department, the project team consisting of Tatiana Kovaliuk, TomashevskyiValentyn, Zhdanova Elena, Spercach Maya.

Irina Zolotariova spoke about the goals and objectives of the MASTIS project, the status of the development of the specialty of Information Systems in Europe, the prospects for implementing the results of the project in the educational system of Ukraine. She shared her experience in the implementation of the MATIS project at the Kharkov National Economic University. There was a discussion on list of core disciplines and their content.

JOB FAIR IN THE IGOR SIKORSKY KPI AND DISSEMINATION MASTIS PROJECT

On April 19, more than forty companies from different fields of activity: IT, finance, television, telecommunications, engineering and design etc. (IT-Enterprise, EPAM, IT Article, Dentsu Aegis Network Ukraine, Infopulse Ukraine, Melexis and other) offered to familiarize open employment programs, information on vacancies, showed their interest in finding promising students and young professionals. The MASTIS Team from Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering presented information about the MASTIS projectgoals, tasks, composition of the consortium, expected results.
