News MASTIS project from April to September 2018
JOB FAIR IN THE IGOR SIKORSKY KPI AND DISSEMINATION MASTIS PROJECT
On April 19, 2018 more than forty companies from different fields of activity: IT, finance, television, telecommunications, engineering and design etc. (IT-Enterprise, EPAM, IT Article, Dentsu Aegis Network Ukraine, Infopulse Ukraine, Melexis and other) offered to familiarize open employment programs, information on vacancies, showed their interest in finding promising students and young professionals. The MASTIS Team from Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering presented information about the MASTIS project:goals, tasks, composition of the consortium, expected results. PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI
April 25, 2018.“IS Support and Maintenance” workshop within the framework of the course “Information Systems Development Management” was conducted at the Information Systems Laboratory, which was created at the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department of Igor Sikorsky KPI through the MASTIS project. Student Gorobyuk V. (gr IS72MP) made a report on the topic of this seminar. Students from the IS72MP group discussed the following issues: the Importance of timely maintenance; On-site support and consultancy;Backup and recovery of IS, in particular IS monitoring, logging and notification, monitoring of IS resources, IS registration and monitoring mechanism, prevention, escalation strategy.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI
May 22, 2018. Students of the groups IS72MP, IS71MN master’s level took part in the business game “Formation of Masters Competencies in Information Systems in accordance with requirements of the IT market”. Students prepared proposals for solving problem situations, in particular, “Integrated program of automation of service processes in the company”, “The organization of support for IS users”, “Implementation of IS” and other.

DEFEND DIPLOMA THESES ON TOPICS THAT CORRELATE WITH THE SUBJECT OF THE MASTIS PROJECT
June 21, 2018.Examination commission whose members are professor Pavlov O.A, assосiate professors Kovaliuk T.V., Tielysheva T.O., SelinYu.M., Zhurakovskaya O.S. held an open meeting on the defense of diploma theses of the specialty “Computer Science and Information Technologies”. Among the diploma papers submitted for defense were diploma paper based on the materials of the MASTIS project and developed research in the area of IT graduatescompetences development.

The materials of the European Framework for ICT competencies, the results of a survey of Ukrainian stakeholders on requirements for graduates in Information Systems, curriculum recommendations “Global Competency Model for Graduate Degrees in Information Systems” were used in this diploma paper.

Students of the IC71MN and IS72M groups of master’s level passed the exam on the course “Management of Information Systems Development” according to the curriculum of specialization “Information Management Systems and Technologies” at the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department of Igor Sikorsky KPI. The content of the course “Information Systems Development Management” corresponds to the discipline “Information System Development and Deployment” of MASTIS project. Examining tasks involve applying case method. Teamsofstudentsanalyzedandofferedsolutionstothefollowingproblems: DesignofanIntegratedAutomatedInformationManagementSystemofuniversities; InformationSystemofinteractionbetweenthestate, businessandtheuniversitywithintheframeworkofthe “TripleHelix” model; InformationSystemofeducationalprocess adaptation of IT specialties of the universities to IT industry requirements; Management of configurations, changes and releases; Organization of users support for information systems.

PILOTING COURSE “INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI
June 22, 2018. Students of the IC71MN and IS72M groups of master’s level passed the exam on the course “Management of Information Systems Development” according to the curriculum of specialization “Information Management Systems and Technologies” at the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department of Igor Sikorsky KPI. This course corresponds with Mastis project course “IS Development and Deployment”
The case study method was applied during the course exam. Students were divided into teams andmust to propose the problem solutions with the development and implementation of information systems. The topic of one of the exam tasks was called Optimization and Automation of IT service management processes. The implementation of the solutions offered by the students was supposed providing improved customer access, the ability to deliver service more rapidly through automated processes and better management and proactivity through the ability to set and accurately measure KPIs in support of the business improvement goals.

PILOTING COURSE “ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE MANAGEMENT” AT FACULTY OF INFORMATICS ANDCOMPUTER ENGINEERING OF IGOR SIKORSKY KPI
September 4, 2018. Students of the group IC81MP Master’s level began to study the course “Enterprise ArchitectureManagement” according to the curriculum of specialization “Information Management Systems and Technologies” at the Automated Systems of Information Processing and Management Department of Igor Sikorsky KPI. This course is included in the curriculum of Masters in Information Systems and Technologies in accordance with the MASTIS project. Associate professor Kovaliuk T.V. told the students about the goals, tasks, and results of the MASTIS project. She introduced the students to teaching methods, in particular case studies, business games, blendedlearning and flipped learning that will be used during the studying course “Enterprise Architecture Management”.

September 17, 2018. Students of the IC81MP group of master’s degree work on the topic “Methodologies and the languages of describing the Enterprise Architecture”. In accordance with the methodology of flipped learning, students will engage in exercises and decide case studies, conduct discussions and present projects.

METHODICAL MEETINGOF THE MASTIS PROJECT TEAM of IGOR SIKORSKY KPI
September 11, 2018 MASTIS Project team of Igor Sikorsky KPI discussed the program and educational materials of the course “Information SystemDevelopment and Deployment”, the methodological package of which is instructed to develop Igor Sikorsky KPI. The meeting was attended by experts from the company EPAM Systems. The expert appreciated the quality and contemporary curriculum. It was decided to upgrade presentations and maintenance of laboratory work. The topics of the lectures were distributed among the team members (Tyelisheva T.O., Kovalyuk T.V., Lischuk KI, OliynykYu.O., Tomashevsky V.M.), who should prepare new presentations and laboratory works.
